Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi stated on the 27th that Russian President Putin met with him in St. Petersburg, during which both sides had a fruitful hour-and-a-half-long conversation.
While visiting Russia, Araghchi posted on social media that during the meeting, the two sides discussed in detail and reviewed a number of topics, including Iran-Russia bilateral relations and regional issues, as well as the wars of aggression initiated by the United States and Israel. Both sides also proposed many useful suggestions for deepening bilateral cooperation. At present, the foundation for Iran-Russia cooperation is solid.
Araghchi pointed out that Putin expressed admiration on behalf of Russia and the entire world for the Iranian people and their resistance to the United States.
Araghchi thanked the Russian side for its support to Iran in this unequal and unjust war, and announced that the strategic partnership between the two sides will continue to strengthen under the new circumstances.
Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov also stated that the meeting between Putin and Araghchi was fruitful and constructive.
Russia to Make Every Effort to Promote Early Peace in the Middle East
On the other hand, Russian President Putin stated on the 27th that Russia will make every effort to promote the early realization of peace in the Middle East.
While meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi in St. Petersburg, he said that the Iranian people are bravely fighting for their sovereignty, and expressed hope that with this courage, under the leadership of the new leader, the Iranian people will overcome difficulties and embrace peace.
Putin noted that he has received a message from Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba, and that Russia will continue to develop its strategic relations with Iran and make every effort to safeguard the interests of Iran and other countries in the Middle East region.
