(Miri, 14th) The Lutong Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call early this morning reporting an incident of a fallen tree on Jalan Pulau Melayu, where a local car crashed into a tree lying across the road, causing minor injuries to the driver.
The incident was reported by the public at 6:06 AM. Following the report, the Lutong Fire and Rescue Department promptly dispatched personnel and a fire engine to the scene at 6:07 AM. The fire team arrived at the scene at 6:17 AM and began clearing operations.

Preliminary investigations confirmed that a large tree had fallen and was lying across the road. The vehicle involved was a local Proton Wira, and the driver, whose vision was obstructed, crashed into the fallen tree, sustaining minor facial injuries. The injured, a 33-year-old man, was later sent to the hospital by his family for treatment.
The rescue team used a chainsaw to cut and clear the fallen tree to ensure the road was safe for passage. The entire operation was completed by 6:47 AM, and the fire engine set off back at 6:53 AM, safely returning to the fire station at 7:03 AM.
No senior officials were present at the scene during this operation, though Sesco dispatched 5 personnel to assist with handling electrical safety at the site.
