US President Trump said in a telephone interview with AFP on the 7th that the two-week ceasefire between the US and Iran is a total and complete victory for the United States.
When asked if, after reaching a peace agreement with Iran, he could declare victory, he said: “Total victory. One hundred percent victory. No doubt. No doubt.”
Trump pointed out that there are many issues between the two sides, but a 15-point agreement has been reached, most of which have already been agreed upon, and we shall see how the final result turns out.
When asked if the US would return to its previous threats if Iran did not agree, Trump responded: “Well, you’ll have to wait and see.”
AFP also asked whether China was involved in facilitating Iran’s participation in this agreement. Trump said: “I heard yes. Yes, they were involved.”
He also pointed out that the issue of Iran's uranium enrichment will be perfectly handled.
According to Iranian media reports, Iran has submitted 10 ceasefire terms to the US, including acceptance of Iran’s uranium enrichment activities.
