CNN reported on the 7th that the Trump administration is preparing for possible face-to-face talks between US and Iranian officials.
The report, citing US officials, says that both sides are working to reach a long-term agreement to end the conflict between the US and Iran. Given that the US and Iran have just announced a two-week ceasefire agreement, the likelihood of holding these talks is increasing.
US officials stated that Vice President Vance, President's envoy Witkoff, and President Trump's son-in-law Kushner are expected to attend the talks.
White House Press Secretary Levitt confirmed to CNN that the US and Iran are indeed discussing face-to-face talks at present, but she also said that nothing has been finalized until the President or the White House officially announces it.
