(Kuching, 19th) The 3rd "Invitational Classic Tennis Championship" (PITC) – Tan Sri Datuk Amar Haji Bujang Mohamed Noor Cup, will be held from August 6th to 9th, 2026, and is expected to attract significant public attention.
This event is organized by the Sarawak Bumiputera Tennis Association (PTBS) in collaboration with the Rinduk Tennis Club (TF RINDUK). The tournament not only emphasizes a high level of competitive performance, but its total prize pool of RM17,000 has also become a major highlight.
PTBS President Ruslan Bujang stated that this annual event will attract teams from Sarawak, Sabah, Peninsular Malaysia, as well as Pontianak in West Kalimantan, Indonesia.
"The three-day event is expected to attract the attention of tennis enthusiasts from the Kuching area," Ruslan told the Sarawak Voice Sports Edition.
The champion team will receive a prize of RM6,000.
The runner-up will receive RM3,000, and the third place will receive RM2,000.
In addition, the teams ranked 4th to 10th will receive RM1,500, RM1,000, RM800, RM600, RM500, RM400, and RM300 respectively.
Ruslan pointed out that there are still 4 spots remaining to meet the target of 12 participating teams.
