Police Uncover Illegal Alcohol Sales Case, Seize Over 400 Alcoholic Beverages

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 7th) The Royal Brunei Police Force, together with the Royal Customs and Excise Department, conducted a joint raid on the night of the 4th of this month. In a residential house in Kampong Lumapas, officers seized 345 cans of beer and 71 bottles of various liquors, and confiscated cash, mobile phones, vehicles, and bank cards.

The suspect is a 50-year-old Malaysian woman, accused of selling alcohol illegally; another local man was also arrested for assisting in transporting the alcoholic drinks.

The police remind the public that any acts of purchasing, selling, or transporting prohibited goods are illegal, and violators will be dealt with according to the law.

The Royal Brunei Police Force urges the public that if anyone has information regarding illegal alcohol sales or other illegal activities, they should immediately contact the nearest police station or call the emergency hotline 993 to report, working together to maintain public security.
