The Public Relations Department of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement on the 8th, stating that the Revolutionary Guard destroyed 85 key US facilities in the Middle East during the operation.
The statement said that the US military blatantly violated the cease-fire agreement, contravened the Iran-US memorandum of understanding, and launched airstrikes against multiple military bases and civilian facilities along the coast of Hormozgan Province and Mahshahr Province.
The statement noted that as an initial response to the US acts of aggression, the Revolutionary Guard Navy and Air Force units conducted joint missile and drone operations, destroying 85 key US military facilities located at the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain and the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, and shot down an enemy MQ-9 drone attempting to interfere with the operation.
