A ferry carrying more than one hundred people caught fire early that morning while traveling from Indonesia's popular tourist destination Bali to the nearby Lombok Island. All personnel on board have been evacuated, and there are currently no reports of casualties.
According to local media reports, the ferry departed from Padangbai Port in Bali and headed for Lombok Island in West Nusa Tenggara Province. The fire broke out while it was traversing the Lombok Strait.

The head of the Mataram Search and Rescue Agency in Lombok told the media that the rescue team has confirmed that all individuals on board have been evacuated, and currently there have been no reports of any casualties. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown.
