(Nepal, 18th) On the 17th, two renowned Nepali climbers once again reached the summit of Mount Everest, each setting new world records in their respective fields.

On the morning of the 17th local time, renowned Nepali climbing guide Kami Rita Sherpa reached the summit of Everest from the south side in Nepal. This marked his 32nd ascent of Everest, breaking his own world record for the most ascents of the mountain.

Kami, now 56, first reached the summit of Everest in May 1994. Except for the years 2014, 2015, and 2020 when Everest was closed to climbing for various reasons, he has successfully summited every year, sometimes even twice in a single year.

53-year-old Lhakpa is known as the "Queen of Everest." A documentary about her life and climbing experiences, Queen of Everest, premiered in 2023. The film showcases her extraordinary achievements in mountaineering, as well as the personal challenges she has faced. Despite enduring many hardships, Lhakpa's determination, courage, and resilience continue to inspire climbers and women worldwide.
