(US, 18th) – US President Trump on the 17th warned Iran that if Tehran does not quickly reach a peace agreement with the United States, “they will have nothing.”

Trump wrote on social media: “For Iran, time is ticking second by second. They had better start acting, fast, or they will have nothing.” He emphasized: “Time is of the essence!”

Multiple media outlets reported that earlier that day, Trump spoke by phone with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu about the situation with Iran, discussing the possibility of resuming military action against Iran.

According to the US news website Axios, citing two American officials on the 17th, Trump is expected to meet with his main national security team members in the White House Situation Room on the 19th to discuss options for renewed military action against Iran.

Washington and Tehran agreed to a ceasefire on April 8th, but peace talks have stalled, and sporadic attacks continue to occur.

According to Iranian media reports, the US’s response to Iran regarding the proposed agenda for ending the conflict has made no specific concessions.
