(Miri, 4th) Sarawak Minister of Transport, Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin, stated that Pujut Secondary School achieves excellent results in the SPM examination every year, which is something to be proud of. If everyone can continue striving for good results, I will continue to provide cash rewards. This is the purpose of my awarding scholarships, to encourage more students to achieve good grades.

He said, I am pleased to see parents enthusiastically attending student award ceremonies. This is very good because it can encourage their children and also witness their children achieving good results.

Lee Kim Shin made this statement during a speech at the 2024 Student Excellence Awards ceremony held at Pujut Secondary School.

He pointed out that since being elected as a state assemblyman, I have provided various grants for schools in the Senadin area to achieve proper development and also to develop the Senadin area into a satellite city. This is all thanks to the support of voters in the Senadin constituency, so I will strive to make contributions.

“Many plans for Miri will be implemented in the future, with the current focus on Kuala Baram, including the deep-sea port project to stimulate the economic development of Kuala Baram.”

He stated that the Sarawak government has allocated over one million ringgit to solve the long-standing traffic problems at Senadin National School and Pujut Secondary School. This project will commence soon.

“To ensure that students can ride electric bikes safely and legally, the government has launched an electric bike license application assistance program. The original cost of obtaining a license is 700 ringgit, and now students can benefit at 250 ringgit. I believe many students now have licenses.”

He also said that the Sarawak government plans to become a high-income state by 2030, so it hopes that students will study hard and, upon graduation, contribute more to the development of Sarawak, particularly in the government's promoted green energy and digital economy sectors.

Additionally, Pujut Secondary School Principal Su Yien Jiong stated that the school's parking lot project has completed bidding and will commence soon, providing 174 parking spaces.
