(Miri, 4th) In conjunction with the 140th anniversary of the Methodist Church in Malaysia, the Sarawak Methodist Church Miri District will hold a 'Run for Love, Deliver Hope' charity run event at 6:00 AM on April 26th (Saturday), simultaneously with Methodist Churches across Malaysia.
Chairman of the organizing committee stated that in addition to celebrating the 140th anniversary of the Methodist Church's establishment in Malaysia, the 'Run for Love, Deliver Hope' charity run aims to raise funds for Methodist disaster relief efforts.
The gathering point for this charity run is in front of Tokyo Marine Life Insurance Malaysia, (Lot 2243, Jalan MS2/2 Marina Time Square 2, Marina Park City Miri).
Chairman of the organizing committee urges members from all congregations of the Miri Methodist Church and the public to actively register and participate, showcasing the vitality of running and emphasizing the importance of health while also conveying the Methodist Church's care for those affected by disasters.
He mentioned that the organizers hope to attract 1,200 participants for this event and to gather greater strength through the charity run to extend a helping hand to those in need. Participants are urged to assemble before 6:00 AM on the day of the event, and the charity run will begin at 6:30 AM.
Anyone registering before January 22, 2025, only needs to pay a fee of 45 Ringgit, while the registration fee will be 60 Ringgit per person after January 22, 2025. Children under the age of four are exempt from the registration fee.
