(Taiwan, 15th) The head of Taiwan's foreign affairs department, Lin Chia-lung, announced on Friday that Filipino residents planning to travel to Taiwan for short-term visits can enjoy visa-free entry until 2026.
This extension of the visa-free measure was officially announced by Taiwanese officials during the Philippine Independence Day event held in Taipei.
The existing visa-free policy for Filipino travelers was originally set to expire on July 31, 2025.
Under this visa-free policy, Filipino travelers are eligible for visa-free entry if their stay does not exceed 14 days, but those holding diplomatic or official passports are not included in this privilege.
The visa-free program for Filipino travelers resumed on September 29, 2022, originally set to expire on July 31, 2023, and was later extended to July 31, 2024.
