(Kuala Belait, 18th) The Brunei Tai Po Clan Association will hold the 2025 Annual Members' Children Academic Excellence Scholarship Award Ceremony at 10am on August 2, 2026 (Sunday) at the association hall. Applications for the 2025 Members' Children Academic Excellence Scholarship are now open. Children of association members with outstanding academic achievements who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply.
Scholarship Application Criteria:
Excellence Award:
1. Students enrolled in any primary or secondary school in Brunei in 2025 whose annual results are ranked first, second, or third.
2. For the Brunei Primary School Assessment (PSR), applicants must have 3 As and at least 1 B.
3. Brunei secondary students in Years 7 and 8 (SPN) who have achieved over 80 marks in five subjects for the entire academic year.
4. Brunei secondary students in Years 9 to 11 who have achieved over 75 marks in five subjects for the entire academic year.
5. Brunei Cambridge G.C.E. 'O' Level, with a total score not exceeding 15 points in five subjects.
6. Brunei Cambridge 'A' Level, with passes in at least 2 subjects at grade B or above.
Encouragement Award:
A. Primary 1 to 3, with an annual average score of 85 or above.
B. Primary 4 to 6, with an annual average score of 80 or above.
C. Brunei secondary students in Years 7 to 10, with an annual average score of 70 or above.
D. Lower Six and Upper Six, with school results of at least 2 subjects at grade B or above.
Chinese Language Encouragement Award:
A. Primary 1 to 4, with an annual Chinese Language score of 90 or above.
B. Primary 5 to 6, with an annual Chinese Language score of 85 or above.
C. Secondary 1 to 5, with an annual Chinese Language score of 75 or above.
D. Brunei Cambridge G.C.E. 'O' Level Chinese Language subject with an A grade.

Applicants must first obtain the application form, complete it, and submit it together with a copy of their academic transcript to the association's registration point. Award recipients must personally attend the ceremony to receive their award. Students studying overseas are not eligible to apply. If both school results and government exam results are submitted for the same year, the association will only consider the better of the two for the award.
On the same day, the Brunei Tai Po Clan Association plans to hold the biennial members' meeting and organize a filial piety and respect for the elderly celebration, presenting birthday and senior red packets. All fellow members are kindly requested to take note; further details will be announced separately.
