(Kuala Belait, 18th) In order to increase public awareness about human trafficking and to strengthen Brunei's various measures in combating human trafficking, the Human Trafficking Investigation Unit (USPM) of the Criminal Investigation Department (JSJ) under the Royal Brunei Police Force (PPDB) held a roadshow seminar on human trafficking crimes at the Seaview Hotel in Kuala Belait.
Participants included frontline police officers and hotel staff. The main purpose of this seminar was to educate and enhance the participants' awareness of identifying potential victims of human trafficking. During the seminar, law enforcement agencies and frontline organizations were reminded to remain vigilant when identifying guests who may be victims of human trafficking and assessing their situations.
The cooperation of hotel management and staff is crucial, as they play an important role in assisting the police in combating human trafficking crimes and in ensuring the safety and welfare of the community.
