To mark the Bingwu Year of the Horse and to promote the era’s spirit of 'taking the lead and striving for excellence', as well as to encourage calligraphy art exchange and development, the editorial department of China Calligraphy News is specially holding the 2026 National Calligraphy Competition "Writing of Horses in the Year of the Horse", cordially inviting calligraphy enthusiasts from all over to depict the grace of fine steeds with their brush and ink, and to carry forward the beauty of Chinese culture.
This calligraphy event themed around 'horse' has attracted active participation from calligraphers nationwide. Several committee members and members of the Brunei Chinese Arts and Literature Association also enthusiastically submitted their works, showcasing their love for traditional culture stroke by stroke, and received recognition in this competition.
Among them, ten members were awarded the Excellence Prize. They are: Council members Chen Lizhen, Lin Yuantai, Huang Bingxian, Li Fenghe, Luo Guohua, Lin Meiyu
