(Kuching, 11th) Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC), Centre of Technical Excellence Sarawak (CENTEXS), and Development Bank of Sarawak (DBOS) handed over a total donation of RM10,000 to two welfare institutions during an iftar event held with the Sarawak Premier on Tuesday (March 10).
The donations were given to Laila Taib Welfare Centre and Nokia Children's Home as part of these organizations' Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, to support the operations and welfare needs of these institutions.
The handover ceremony took place during the 'Iftar with the Sarawak Premier' event at the Riverside Hotel.
The event was officiated by the Sarawak Premier, Abang Johari Tun Openg.
A total of 40 children were invited to the iftar dinner that evening, with 20 from each institution, demonstrating the spirit of generosity, inclusivity, and unity during the month of Ramadan.
The event was attended by over 400 guests, further strengthening the connections between government leaders, board members, corporate partners, strategic partners, and staff.
The evening concluded with collective prayers, including Maghrib, Isha', and Tarawih prayers.
Attendees included SDEC Chairman Mohammad Mohidi Abdul Ghani, SDEC CEO Sudarnoto Osman, CENTEXS CEO Syed Mohamad Husin Wan Abdul Rahman, and DBOS CEO Lee Yen Sien.
