A tragic family incident occurred in central Thailand, where a man shot and killed his three elder relatives before escaping and later turning himself in to the police station.
According to reports from Thai media, the incident took place on the morning of the 30th in Suphan Buri Province. Multiple gunshots were heard from the residence where the incident occurred. The police received the report at 9 AM and arrived at the scene to find two women and one man dead inside the house, with another woman severely injured from gunshot wounds.
Upon investigation, police announced that the two female victims were 51 and 70 years old, and the male victim was 67 years old. The suspect, named 'Paiboon' or referred to as ‘Bas,’ is 33 years old and related to the three victims. Police stated that the shooting might be related to a family land dispute.
Alarming Nearby School
After the incident, Bas initially went into hiding, prompting the police to launch a manhunt for him.
Given that a school is located just 50 meters away from the shooting site, the school authorities were concerned that the attacker might enter the campus. They promptly gathered all students inside a building on the premises as a safety precaution.
Shortly after fleeing, Bas, accompanied by the local village chief, went to the Suphan Buri Province police station's investigation team to turn himself in, where he underwent questioning to determine the reason behind his actions.
Thai media reported that the questioning was personally conducted by Suphan Buri Province Police Chief Major General Wacharin. As for the detailed motive and circumstances of the crime, these remain to be clarified in the follow-up.
