(Kuala Belait, 1st) His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei graced the Kuala Belait Municipal Field today, attending a community celebration to mingle with residents from all walks of life in Kuala Belait District, collectively rejoicing in His Majesty’s 80th birthday.
This morning, students and faculty from various schools in Kuala Belait, along with members of the public, lined up around the square to welcome the Sultan. As His Majesty’s motorcade passed by, everyone waved the national flag in a show of warm welcome, creating a lively and jubilant atmosphere on site.
Upon His Majesty’s arrival, the celebration officially commenced with the singing of the national anthem. Afterwards, community members presented carefully arranged musical and traditional cultural performances, fully showcasing Kuala Belait’s multicultural characteristics and offering heartfelt birthday wishes to His Majesty.
After the performances, His Majesty, accompanied by the Crown Prince, princes, and other members of the royal family, descended from the main stage to the square for a friendly group photo with the performers.
Subsequently, His Majesty shook hands and interacted with people from various sectors, kindly responding to residents’ greetings and giving the public an opportunity to see His Majesty up close. The crowd was highly enthusiastic, waving and sending their birthday wishes to His Majesty, making for a warm and festive scene.
