Kyiv Hit by Large-Scale Airstrike, Fires Break Out in Multiple Districts

(Ukraine, 24th) In the early morning of the 24th, Kyiv City Military Administration chief Tekachenko posted on social media that the city had come under a large-scale ballistic missile attack, with buildings in multiple districts catching fire after being hit. As of around 2 a.m., at least three people were injured.

According to Xinhua News Agency, Tekachenko said that buildings in Shevchenkivskyi, Podilskyi, Darnytskyi, Solomianskyi, and several other districts were attacked, and casualty figures are still being verified.

Xinhua reporters noted that starting from around 1 a.m., loud explosions were heard one after another in Kyiv city and region, with Ukrainian air defense forces continuing interception efforts. As of press time, the airstrike was still ongoing.

On the 23rd, Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations announced that the death toll from the Ukrainian armed forces' attack on a vocational school in Luhansk region had risen to 21, with all bodies found in the rubble. The Ukrainian military denies attacking the school.
