(Bandar Seri Begawan, 25th) The Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB) issued a new notice today, announcing the latest update to the Alert List, reminding the public to be wary of financial service providers that are not licensed.
According to the statement, companies or individuals placed on the Alert List are there because they may be mistakenly perceived as licensed, authorized, or regulated by BDCB. The list is updated based on information available to the authorities and does not preclude further investigation or assessment of these entities in the future.
The latest companies/names added to the list include: Fast Privacy Online Loan BN, Privacy Fast Loan Online BN, Loan Jaya BN, Online Loan Amanah and Trusted, Online Loan Jaya Trusted BN.
The Central Bank reminds the public to only transact with financial institutions that hold a BDCB license, and to avoid participating in any unlicensed financial activities, especially those that promote "get rich quick" schemes or involve high-risk individuals or entities operating "pyramid scheme" models.
BDCB emphasizes that lending, currency exchange, remittance, and other financial services are regulated sectors, and any unlicensed operations are illegal. If you transact with unlicensed entities, you will not be able to obtain legal protection or recourse under the Brunei Central Bank regulatory framework.
