(Kuala Lumpur, 18th) The Meteorological Department has issued a warning that thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds will affect five states in the country, and are expected to persist until Monday (May 18) at 1pm.
In a statement, the Meteorological Department pointed out that the affected areas include Penang, as well as Kulim, Kuala Muda, Baling, Bandar Baharu, and Kubang Pasu in Kedah.
In Perak, the affected areas include Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Upper Perak, and Kuala Kangsar. In addition, Rompin (Pahang) and Batu Pahat, Pontian, Kulai, and Johor Bahru (Johor) are also facing severe weather conditions.
