(London, 15th) The UK, France, Germany, and Italy have stated that following the US-Iran agreement to end the war, they are prepared to lift sanctions on Iran in response to actions Iran has taken regarding its nuclear program.
According to a Reuters report, the four countries issued a joint statement on Sunday (June 14) saying: "Iran must never possess nuclear weapons. We are ready at any time to work with the United States, Iran, and the International Atomic Energy Agency to achieve this goal."

French President Macron also posted on social media, saying that the Strait of Hormuz must be unconditionally reopened and that France will continue to support the Lebanese government in seeking to control Hezbollah. "I welcome the agreement reached by the US and Iran; this is a diplomatic achievement thanks to the joint efforts of multiple partners. I call on all parties to the conflict to quickly and fully implement this agreement."
He also said: "The agreement must allow for the urgent and unconditional reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. The international task force jointly established by France and the UK is ready to provide support for this. The necessary resources are in place and can be deployed at any time. The resumption of maritime traffic, without any restrictions or fees, is vital for regional stability and the global economy."
