Bei Meijiao: 65th Anniversary as a New Starting Point, Promoting Teaching Reform to Enhance Education Quality

(Miri, 14th) Miri Pei Min Independent Middle School principal Bei Meijiao stated that the 65th anniversary of the school is not only a moment to look back on the glory of history, but also an important starting point for looking forward to the future. The school will continue to uphold its fundamental mission of moral education, keep pace with the times by promoting teaching reforms, and enhance the quality of education.

She made these remarks during her speech last night at the “Pei Min in Unity, Inheriting Innovation” Pei Min’s 65th Anniversary Celebration and Appreciation Banquet, held at the 6th-floor Grand Ballroom of the Pullman Hotel.

She said that over its 65-year history, Pei Min Independent Middle School has gone through trials and tribulations, from its humble and challenging beginnings to today’s flourishing institution with outstanding talents, writing an important page in the history of Chinese education in Malaysia.

She pointed out that, even under difficult conditions, the founding pioneers of the school held a dedication to nurturing talent for the nation, providing a solid foundation through selfless devotion, igniting the drive for knowledge and growth in generation after generation of teachers and students, and thus allowing the school to develop robustly.

She noted that, over the past 65 years, the teaching team has worked quietly and diligently, nurturing students with love and enlightening minds with wisdom. Students acquire knowledge and hone their character at school, while alumni contribute to various sectors and take pride in their alma mater.

She also expressed high respect and heartfelt thanks on behalf of the school to all past board members, principals, staff, and long-term supporters from all walks of society.

She pointed out that, on the occasion of the 65th anniversary, the Board of Directors has set a fundraising goal of one million ringgit, to continue the tradition of Chinese education and gather strength from the community to support the school’s development.

She emphasized that independent Chinese secondary education has long relied on support from the wider community, and fundraising is not only for operational expenses but also to unite all parties in jointly shouldering the responsibility of promoting Chinese education.

“The 65th anniversary is not only a milestone for reviewing history, but a new starting point for marching towards the future.”

She pledged that the school will continue to deepen teaching reforms, enhance the quality of education, promote coordinated development of technology and the humanities, and strengthen connections with all sectors of society to bring together resources and drive the school’s continuous progress. Bei Meijiao also wished Pei Min Independent Middle School prosperity and steady advancement.
