Vin Diesel became hugely popular with the 'Fast & Furious' film series. Last weekend, he appeared at FuelFest, a car enthusiast event held in Pomona, California, and happily shared exciting updates about the series' final chapter, 'Fast & Furious 11' (Fast XI). For the first time, he revealed that the movie is scheduled to be released in April 2027.
Diesel said that Universal Pictures asked him whether he could deliver the series' final chapter by 2027. In response, he listed three conditions: first, the story must return to the series' birthplace in Los Angeles; second, it should go back to its original car culture and street racing elements; and third, his character Dominic Toretto must reunite with Brian O’Conner, played by the late Paul Walker.
This news immediately excited and moved fans. Although it is still unclear in what form Brian's character will reappear, considering that Paul Walker passed away in 2013, the 'return' will almost certainly rely on digital technology. However, this won’t be the first attempt; during 'Furious 7', the crew used Paul’s brothers as stand-ins and employed CGI to recreate his appearance and voice.
