Golden Bell Awards host and well-known writer Wang Haoyi passed away suddenly on the evening of the 29th, at the age of 68. According to reports, around noon that day, Wang Haoyi was planning to go to Taitung City. When his family found that he had not returned after a long time, they filed a missing person report. At around 7 p.m., the police found Wang's car parked in a roadside parking space; Wang Haoyi was inside the car and was already obviously deceased.
Writer Liu Kexiang stated on Facebook that Wang Haoyi had been resting in Dulan recently due to some heart issues. It was thought that he would gradually recover, but unexpectedly, Liu received a call from Wang Haoyi's younger brother in the evening informing him that Wang drove out but may have felt unwell along the way, stopped by the roadside, and passed away.
Just days earlier, Wang Haoyi had posted on Facebook bidding farewell to his mother, who passed away peacefully at noon on the 24th at the age of 91. He also mentioned that his mother left calmly and without much suffering, which is something to be grateful for. Unexpectedly, five days later, news broke of Wang Haoyi's own passing.
