Iranian Foreign Minister: Nothing Mocks 'America First' More Than Waging War

Published at Apr 01, 2026 02:59 pm
On March 31, Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi posted on social media, pointing out that nothing mocks the 'America First' slogan more than waging war for a foreign regime (Israel) and profiting from the deaths of young soldiers sent to the front lines.

Araghchi also attached a webpage screenshot to his post, showing that the UK Financial Times revealed that an investment broker for US Secretary of War Hagseth attempted to invest large sums into military industry funds shortly before the US and Israel launched strikes against Iran. This news has sparked suspicions of insider trading.

Araghchi stated that this was an unnecessary, selective war, imposed upon both the American and Iranian peoples.

No Response Yet to US '15-Point Plan'

Additionally, in an interview with Qatar’s Al Jazeera on March 31, Araghchi stated that Iran has not yet responded to the '15-point plan' proposed by the United States to end the hostilities.

He said Iran has given no response, proposal, or conditions regarding the '15-point plan.'

He stressed that Iran has not made any decision regarding negotiations and emphasized, “Our conditions for ending the war are clear.” Iran will not settle for a simple ceasefire but demands that conflict across the entire region be brought to a complete end.

In the interview, Araghchi mentioned that he directly received messages from President Biden’s special envoy Whitcoff, but Iran does not believe that there is a formal negotiation process with the United States.
