(Miri, 25th) Under the support and well wishes of the members, the Miri Hing Ann Association successfully completed the re-election of its new council on Sunday, November 24, 2024.
This re-election was conducted in accordance with the newly revised by-laws approved by the Registrar of Societies, meticulously arranged by the three election committee members, permanent honorary president Chen Jin Hong, Penghulu Fang Feng Jin, and advisor Huang Xinhua.
On the nomination day, a total of 17 members completed the nomination process accompanied by nominators and seconders. Since the number of nominees was 17, according to the by-laws, these 17 nominees automatically became council members and went through the election for the new positions in the presence of the election committee.
The election results showed that President Lee Ming Sen was re-elected with the full support of the council members, with Zhang Yuan Hong as the deputy president, Chen Qing Zhong as the secretary, and Yang Mei Xing as the treasurer.
