(Kuching, 25th) Due to a sudden anomaly in the power supply frequency causing damage to home appliances, 8 households on Yishun Road in the Stapok area successfully claimed compensation from Sarawak Energy Berhad through the Sarawak United People's Party.
The incident occurred in March last year when the power supply in the Yishun Road area of Stapok suddenly fluctuated without warning or prior notice, leaving the residents unprepared for such an unexpected situation. As a result, many household appliances were damaged due to unstable power flow.
The residents immediately reported and complained about the incident to the Stapok Sub-Branch of the Sarawak United People's Party, which then conducted inspections, gathered information, and sent a letter to Sarawak Energy Berhad.
Sarawak Energy Berhad was very cooperative, and under the arrangement of Kho Teck Wan, political secretary of the Sarawak Premier's Office, and Kapitan Liu Yuanxi, chairman of the SUPP Stapok Sub-Branch, dispatched personnel to communicate with local residents.
After the company's investigation, the compensation claims for damages to home appliances from the 8 households submitted through the SUPP Stapok Sub-Branch were approved.
Liu Yuanxi personally delivered the approved compensation payments to the affected parties with the cooperation of the branch's secretary, Tian Jianping, and the Youth chief, Li Dexing.
He stated that the party is not only promoting local development and infrastructure improvements but also actively safeguarding the rights of the people.
“We hope the public will maintain regular contact with the party, and raise, reflect, or complain about any issues so that we can work together to solve them and build a better Sarawak.”
