From being the lead vocalist of Magic Power to becoming an independent singer-songwriter, Xiao Bing Chih has experienced the highs and lows of his career and has also learned to make peace with himself. In conjunction with his solo concert 'Alive' to be held at Zepp Kuala Lumpur on July 4, Xiao Bing Chih shared in an interview with Malaysian media that he now appreciates the present more than chasing perfection, because 'just being able to live well is already an amazing thing.'
Having debuted for many years, Xiao Bing Chih has composed numerous popular songs such as 'I Still Love You', 'Poison', and 'Who Am I Who Am I Who Am I', which remain beloved by fans to this day. He admitted that he used to have extremely high expectations for both music and life, often feeling pressured when things didn't meet his ideal standards. With age and life experience, he gradually realized that many things cannot be forced, has learned to slow down, and now better enjoys the happiness that music brings.
Talking about this tour themed 'Alive', Xiao Bing Chih stated that it is the message he most wants to convey in recent years. After experiencing the pandemic and various stages in life, he has deeply felt the preciousness of life. 'I hope to bring strength to fans through music, so that everyone can continue to move forward bravely even when facing setbacks and difficulties.'
He revealed that in the Kuala Lumpur stop, in addition to performing many classic hits, some songs will also be rearranged, hoping to give fans a refreshing audiovisual experience. In addition, he has invited his good friend Grady (GuGu) as a guest for the concert. He is particularly impressed by the passion and support of Malaysian fans, saying that every time he performs in Malaysia he can feel the audience’s unreserved engagement and resonance.
