Choi Siwon Films Taiwanese Drama After 15 Years, Collaborates with Rising Star Lei Jia-Rui

Super Junior (SJ) member Choi Siwon has recently been cast in the Taiwanese drama "If Only We Had Never Met," where he will be working opposite rising Taiwanese actress Lei Jia-Rui. The series is expected to start filming in July. The show is adapted from a popular Taiwanese comic of the same name and tells the story of a prominent Korean musical director who encounters a prodigious Taiwanese piano girl. The two fall deeply in love; however, their romance is accompanied by nightmares and a string of bizarre events, eventually becoming entangled in a shocking murder case.

This marks Choi Siwon's second time starring in a Taiwanese drama. In 2011, he played the male lead in the adaptation of the famous comic "Skip Beat!". Demonstrating his fluent Mandarin, he lived in Taiwan for over two months during filming and fully immersed himself in the local culture. Now, with his return to the Chinese-speaking entertainment industry, he is set to once again stay in Taiwan long term for the shoot. Lei Jia-Rui rose to fame in 2023 with the series "The Defender of Bamen Gate" and last year made her Korean debut in the streaming drama "The 12 Apostles." Fans are expressing great anticipation for her collaboration with Choi Siwon.
