On the 16th, America's TIME magazine announced its list of the 100 Most Influential People for 2026, with TSMC Chairman and CEO C.C. Wei making the list. NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang personally wrote the recommendation, highly praising C.C. Wei as “one of the most influential figures of our time.”
C.C. Wei was categorized as a “Pioneer” in this year’s list. In his recommendation, Jensen Huang pointed out that C.C. Wei not only leads one of the world’s most influential companies, but is also a humble leader, partner, and close friend whom he has known for over 20 years.
Jensen Huang emphasized that during his tenure as CEO, C.C. Wei foresaw the global computing industry’s shift from mobile-first to AI-first. He helped drive TSMC’s transformation from a pure foundry to a technology platform capable of building Integrated System Chips (ISC)—a revolutionary change that “made NVIDIA’s AI supercomputers possible and ignited today’s AI revolution.”
