The future Belgian queen, 23-year-old Princess Elisabeth, has just completed her first year at Harvard University, but the U.S. government's ban on foreign students may jeopardize her eligibility to continue her studies.
Princess Elisabeth, the eldest of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde's four children, is the first in line to the throne. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Public Policy at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government. This future queen has an impressive academic background, previously earning a dual Bachelor's degree in History and Politics from the University of Oxford in the UK.
Belgian royal spokesperson Van Dooren stated: “Princess Elisabeth has just completed her first year of studies. The impact of the Trump administration's decision will become clearer in the coming days or weeks. We are currently planning our response.”
Royal communications director Bart added: “We are analyzing the situation and will continue to monitor developments. There may still be changes in the coming days and weeks.”
Princess Elisabeth is pursuing a Master's in Public Policy at Harvard, a two-year program. According to Harvard's official website, this program aims to expand students' perspectives and develop their ability to succeed in the field of public service.
