31-year-old Taiwanese “Nursing Goddess” Hsieh Yu-Hsin recently passed away suddenly in Malaysia. In an exclusive interview with the China Times in the early morning of the 3rd, her manager Chris stated that they have yet to receive any information from the Malaysian police. As both her friend and manager, he is very anxious, and has already used his contacts and hired private investigators to look into the truth behind the incident. “Having listened to so many results from the investigation, I have a general sense of what’s going on, but since these are not official reports, I’m careful not to make any unwarranted accusations. The police suddenly making everything public on the 2nd was also quite a shock to us.”

Chris also conveyed the feelings of Hsieh Yu-Hsin’s family: “The family just wants justice. They want to understand what really happened to their beloved daughter and don’t want to hear any unofficial reports.” He added that Hsieh Yu-Hsin was originally scheduled to return to Taiwan within two weeks, but due to the current developments, there may be changes. With many unanswered questions in this case, Chris expressed his frustration: “The authorities over there say that it’s impossible to bring her body back to Taiwan for examination, because they have to inject formalin, and that would destroy any evidence.”

After the incident occurred, Chris has spoken out many times and has criticized Namewee’s statements for being contradictory, but this has also led to questions as to why he “did not accompany her to Malaysia.” He explained, “A manager’s responsibilities are diverse and intricate; we have to ensure work safety and contract compliance, while also respecting the artist’s independence and freedom.” He directly stated that he’s not a vampire, and wouldn’t interfere with or restrict any of his artists’ private lives or interpersonal relationships.

He expressed his sorrow at Hsieh Yu-Hsin’s sudden passing, and expressed skepticism over rumors that she died from heart disease, emphasizing: “Yu-Hsin had no heart problems.” As for the drugs reportedly found at the scene by the police, he said: “Since there hasn’t been a clear report and the police statements have been inconsistent, I have never seen Yu-Hsin use any such substances. With information so unclear, we dare not make any statements.”
