On August 3rd, at a press conference held by the Global Intelligent Internet of Things Consortium (GIIC), it was announced that the HarmonyOS Ecosystem Conference 2026 (HEC · 2026) will be held on August 29-30 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center (Futian). The expected number of attendees will reach 6,000–8,000, making it the largest in history.
This year's conference is themed "New Smart Connection · New Future" and will feature an immersive exhibition hall of nearly 3,000 square meters. Abandoning the traditional single-product display model, the exhibition will focus on industry scenarios as the core, coupled with over 15 vertical industry sub-forums, integrating exhibitions, standard releases, and business matching into one.
The conference aims to build a platform for technology showcases, standard publication, business matchmaking, and talent exchange. It will drive the HarmonyOS ecosystem from technical verification toward industrial implementation, moving from single-point breakthroughs to a new stage of all-scenario, all-connected, and fully intelligent development. Du Jinbiao, Director of the HarmonyOS Ecosystem Advancement Committee of GIIC, stated: "This conference is a key turning point for the HarmonyOS ecosystem, moving from demonstration pilots to large-scale commercial use across all domains."
The conference will adopt a "1+15+N" content structure, including 1 annual main forum, more than 15 specialized sub-forums, N themed ecosystem exhibition areas, and multiple special events. The sub-forums will focus on key industry topics such as industrial control, technological innovation, talent development, HarmonyOS security, and more. Additionally, themed exhibition areas for smart homes, smart mobility, smart healthcare, and others will be set up to showcase the innovative achievements and scenario-based applications of the HarmonyOS ecosystem in different fields.
The conference will also release two industry blue papers: the "HarmonyOS Application Experience Blue Paper 2026" and the "Industry HarmonyOS Terminal Development Blue Paper 2026". It will prepare for the promotion of key industry special committees and release related standard achievements such as HarmonyOS Ecosystem Device Unified Interconnection Standard 2.1, HarmonyOS Application Completeness Assessment Standard, HarmonyOS Ecosystem Unified Kit Standard, and HarmonyOS Ecosystem Talent Capability Evaluation.
