(Seria, 7th) The Seria Foochow Association committee members recently paid a visit to the Seria Nursing Home as part of their Chinese New Year caring initiative, celebrating the upcoming Lunar New Year with the elderly residents and extending festive greetings and heartwarming care. The atmosphere on site was warm and harmonious.
This visit was led by the Association's chairman, Mr. Wong Lim Ming, accompanied by several committee members and members. During the event, the Association distributed lunch and red packets to the elderly residents, symbolizing auspiciousness for the New Year and conveying the Association’s care for the seniors.
In an interview, Wong Lim Ming stated that visiting the nursing home is one of the Association's regular annual caring activities, aimed at paying attention to the well-being of seniors while also strengthening bonds and interaction between members and the community.
He pointed out that through such activities, Association members are able to engage in genuine conversations with the elderly, check in on their well-being, and spend meaningful time together. The elderly generally cherish the arrival of visitors and are happy to interact and communicate with everyone.
He also hopes that similar caring activities will continue to be promoted, further caring for the senior members of the Association, as many elderly members have made significant contributions to the development and growth of the Association over the years and deserve more attention and appreciation.
