(Bandar Seri Begawan, 7th) Organized by D-Media Co., Ltd., the 2026 Spring Festival Special Sharing Session was recently held successfully at Gadong Centerpoint, attracting nearly 150 enthusiastic participants. Centered around traditional culture and infused with a strong festive atmosphere, the event provided a cross-generational and cross-background exchange platform, demonstrating significant social value and cultural meaning.

Event coordinator Zheng Boxing stated that in today’s fast-paced, highly digital era, traditional culture is no longer merely about festival rituals, but has become an important bridge connecting people, generations, and society. This event, through diverse interactive experiences, enabled the public to enjoy the blessings, care, order, and hope embedded in traditional values through lighthearted participation.

The event kicked off with the New Year's wishes message board segment, where attendees wrote down their hopes and blessings for the coming year. As people exchanged and shared through written words, a positive and encouraging atmosphere filled the venue, extending New Year’s wishes from individuals to others and spreading warmth and hope. This was followed by a calligraphy opening ceremony, symbolizing the start of a new year and the inheritance of culture.

The organizers also invited the Brunei Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Association to write spring couplets on site, bringing the art of traditional writing into public spaces for all to see and experience, further bridging the gap between traditional culture and everyday life. Next, a cake-cutting ceremony was held, symbolizing sharing achievements and unity. Through relaxed interactions, guests strengthened their connections, reflecting the spirit of inclusion and sharing advocated by the event. The above segments were co-hosted by main speaker Mr. Lee Zihao, sponsor representatives Wan Zhihau, Tao Yiting, and Chen Tingwei, Brunei Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Association President Yang Zhensheng, Vice President Bao Pingsheng, and D-Media founder Zheng Boxing, in a warm and orderly atmosphere.

The event also featured New Year's songs performed by Cai Muxi’s students, using the voices of the younger generation to interpret the Spring Festival theme and demonstrate the natural flow and continuation of traditional culture between generations. The students performed the brand new Lunar New Year song for 2026, 'Happiness Surrounds In Song,' conveying joy and blessings through melody, letting guests experience the hope and unity of the New Year through music.

The highlight of the event was a sharing session on the coming year by Mr. Lee Zihao, who, from the perspectives of life and society, guided the public to face the changes and challenges of the new year with rationality, balance, and positivity, echoing the event’s core concept of 'using traditional culture as a bridge to connect generations and society.' Mr. Lee emphasized that traditional culture not only carries historical memories but also provides wisdom and guidance for modern life, helping individuals maintain rational and optimistic attitudes in the face of change. He encouraged the public to translate festive joy and traditional wisdom into practical actions to promote understanding, care, and mutual support in society.

Lee Zihao, from Malaysia, has more than 20 years of research and teaching experience in traditional culture, with deep expertise in Chinese culture and customs. He has long been committed to bringing traditional culture to the public in a popular and lively manner. Combining traditional philosophy and real-life experience, he guided the public in a clear, accessible way to welcome planning and challenges for the new year with greater clarity.

Zheng Boxing expressed hopes that, through Spring Festival cultural activities, traditional culture can blend into everyday life, becoming a major public force for promoting social understanding, emotional communication, and psychological well-being. He especially thanked the sponsors for their strong support and all participants for their enthusiasm, which created an even warmer and more harmonious atmosphere, fully realizing the event's social value and cultural significance.

He also revealed that D-Media will continue organizing cultural and public welfare activities to promote the integration of traditional culture with modern life and provide more platforms for exchange, learning, and experience for the public. As the New Year approaches, he hopes that the community will, in the festive atmosphere, re-examine interpersonal relationships and inner rhythms, find emotional anchorage in busyness and change, and forge a shared consensus towards goodness and progress. He also shared the commonalities in operation between organizations and enterprises, noting that associations emphasize value recognition and public responsibility. How to introduce professional management while maintaining the original intention of public welfare is an important issue for associations to continue developing and expanding their social impact.
