Albino Water Buffalo 'Trump' Escapes Death, Placed in Zoo for Careful Protection

(Dhaka, 28th) In Bangladesh, an albino water buffalo with a flowing golden mane resembling former U.S. President Donald Trump has sparked widespread discussion and gone viral among the Bangladeshi public. Originally set to be slaughtered during Eid al-Adha, 'Trump' was saved just hours before facing the butcher’s knife when the local government intervened and arranged for it to be moved to a zoo.

This albino water buffalo was named 'Trump' by its original owner due to its strong resemblance to President Trump. However, this water buffalo had already been sold to another person and was scheduled for slaughter during Eid al-Adha.

However, just hours before the 700-kilogram buffalo was about to face the knife, the local government suddenly intervened, rescued it, and sent it to the zoo for proper arrangements.

According to AFP, the director of the National Zoo, Atikul, stated that the buffalo will be well cared for.

"We have arranged a separate pen for this albino water buffalo and assigned personnel to look after it. It will undergo two weeks of isolation."

The buffalo's original owner, Mrida, said that his brother named it 'Trump' specifically because of its "extraordinary hair."

Mrida added that there had constantly been curious visitors coming by, including social media fans, onlookers, and children—all eager to catch a glimpse of this animal’s unique style.
