Seremban District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Hatta issued a statement indicating that the incident occurred around 4pm yesterday at the 254.6 km mark of the North-South Expressway heading north. The male rider suffered severe head injuries and died at the scene.

“Initial investigations found that a 65-year-old man was driving a Ford Ranger four-wheel drive, traveling from Rembau to Shah Alam, when he suddenly braked.
He said that at the time, the vehicle was driving in the emergency lane, causing the heavy motorcycle rider to hit the right side mirror of the car.
He stated that the male rider first fell into the right lane, and was then run over by a tow truck.
Mohamad Hatta continued that another motorcycle coming from behind did not have time to avoid and also crashed into the rear of the vehicle.
