Road Transport Department Director General, Edi Failee, stated that starting from Monday (February 17), probationary driving license (PDL) holders can apply to convert it to a competent driving license (CDL) through the MyJPJ application.
He mentioned in a statement that this convenient application is expected to benefit 2.38 million eligible PDL holders.
“This new feature is launched to facilitate the public in applying for CDL online, without the need to visit the JPJ counter in person.”
“With this new feature, PDL holders can apply for CDL anytime and anywhere using a smartphone through the MyJPJ application.”
Regarding the application procedure, he said applicants should first download or update the MyJPJ application before logging in, then select 'CDL Application' and ‘Update Duration’.
Edi Failee said applicants need to choose the 'Payment Method' and make an online payment of the application fee for the system to process their applications, then wait for the application status notification.
He added that this new feature is simple and efficient, saving time, flexible, and user-friendly.
