The 2025 World Economic Forum (WEF) is expected to bring synergies that will directly benefit sectors such as education, investment, trade, artificial intelligence (AI), energy, and digital, yielding substantial returns.
Prime Minister Dato' Sri Anwar stated that this edition of the World Economic Forum also serves as a platform to strengthen Malaysia's bilateral relations and cooperation with relevant parties.
In a Facebook post today (23rd), he said: "The World Economic Forum aims to allow national leaders to hold formal and informal meetings through bilateral meetings, side meetings, and main events. This will certainly have a positive impact and provide valuable experience."
"I thank Almighty God for the favorable reception and recognition Malaysia received during this forum."
In another post, Anwar mentioned that while pursuing global technological changes and rapid economic development, global peace across continents must be considered to maintain world stability.
The Prime Minister pointed out that in his keynote speech at the high-level public session of this WEF, themed "ASEAN Together Stronger": The ASEAN Plenary, he emphasized this issue.
"This critical issue needs to be seriously addressed by countries, regional groups, or alliances to ensure continuous investor engagement, thereby promoting the further development of existing trade opportunities."
"I also cited and commented on the situation in Myanmar, emphasizing the need to enhance interaction with relevant parties at all levels to ensure stability and peace in the ASEAN region are continuously maintained."
