[Los Angeles Riots] Trump: Won't Let Violent Crowd Go Unpunished Governor: President's Intervention Escalates Situation

(United States, 9th) President Trump of the United States stated on the 8th that the troops sent to Los Angeles, California will ensure "very strong law and order", and it seems he does not rule out the possibility of deploying troops in other cities.
The search operation by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has sparked backlash from the California public. According to a report by Agence France-Presse, referring to local demonstration activities, Trump told the media: "There are violent crowds, and they cannot go unpunished. I think you will see very strong law and order."
On the 6th and 7th, federal agencies such as the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement dispatched a large number of law enforcement officers to conduct raids targeting illegal immigrants in various locations in Los Angeles County, leading to severe conflicts with local community residents over two consecutive days.
On the 7th, Trump accused California Governor Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Bass of being "incompetent" and unable to control the chaotic situation. He signed a presidential memorandum, deploying 2,000 National Guard troops to the Los Angeles area without a request for assistance from Newsom.
Legal experts in the United States say this is the first time since 1965 that a president has mobilized the state National Guard without obtaining a request from the governor.

The U.S. military said on the 8th that a total of 300 National Guard troops had been stationed in the Los Angeles area, California, according to orders.
The California Governor's Office confirmed to local media on the 8th that approximately 300 National Guard personnel have been deployed. Media reports say this number is far below the 2,000 National Guardsmen previously mentioned by Trump.
Meanwhile, on the afternoon of the 8th, California Governor Newsom signed a document to the U.S. Department of Defense, requesting Defense Secretary Hegseth to withdraw the order to deploy the National Guard to the Los Angeles area, returning the command of the California National Guard to the state government, "to be deployed again when necessary."
He said that President Trump's intervention had escalated tensions.

According to a Xinhua report, at noon on the 8th local time, protesters in front of the federal law enforcement agencies in downtown Los Angeles clashed with the National Guard personnel deployed there.
A Xinhua reporter on the scene saw National Guardsmen firing tear gas and rubber bullets in an attempt to disperse the protest crowd, but the number of protesters kept increasing from initially dozens to over 1,000. A Xinhua reporter at the scene was hit in the arm by a tear gas canister, and an unknown object hit the reporter’s head. The photographer's left leg was struck by a rubber bullet, causing a bleeding wound.
The protesters at the scene told Xinhua reporters that they are all hard-working local community residents who hope to express their opinions peacefully, but "Is it necessary for the Trump administration to send military personnel to deal with us?"
Protesters blockaded a major highway running through downtown Los Angeles and confronted a large number of law enforcement officers, including National Guard personnel, on major nearby roads.
