Tansri Ng Tien Chee, President of the Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia (FCAM), hopes the government will make efforts for the nation's progress and prosperity, ensuring people's peaceful and prosperous lives.
He stated that as Malaysian citizens, FCAM hopes that our beautiful land can develop together in a harmonious environment that does not discriminate by race or religion.
“All Malaysians can share good fortune and wealth, and everyone can face difficulties and troubles together. Only then can Malaysia's ideals be realized.”
He pointed out that FCAM will fully support any state and federal government moving towards unity, moderation, and mildness.
“Therefore, we regret some politicians' actions to highlight personal agendas by discussing sensitive issues, not putting the national direction and unity ideals at the forefront.”
With the inclusion of “Spring Festival — Chinese New Year social practice” into UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, he also called on the government to apply for Malaysia's unique ‘Loh Sang culture’ to be included in the UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
Meanwhile, Ng Tien Chee also announced that with his two-term and six-year tenure as FCAM President coming to an end, FCAM will usher in a new leadership team at the member assembly on September 28 this year.

“I hereby announce to everyone that September 28 is the member assembly for FCAM, and my term will be completed, to be judged by future generations. On September 28, I will surely step down, and I sincerely hope the new leadership team of FCAM will continue to lead FCAM to a higher peak.”
He said that this Chinese New Year gathering will also be the last time he will stand on the grand auditorium stage to extend Chinese New Year greetings to everyone, in his capacity as President.

Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing stated that the traditional Chinese New Year customs in Malaysia have been rooted and have grown, thanks to the Malaysian Chinese community's commitment to Chinese culture over the years.
He praised the Malaysian Chinese groups, including FCAM, for their long-term commitment to the inheritance of Chinese culture, promoting mutual learning between Malaysian and Chinese civilizations, deepening friendship between Malaysia and China, and expressed heartfelt gratitude for the efforts of the Chinese community leaders.
Ouyang Yujing mentioned this when attending the 2025 FCAM Chinese New Year luncheon today.
He said that after experiencing the series of events and leader exchanges commemorating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China, looking forward to 2025, he hopes that Malaysia and China will continue to accompany each other, build mutual trust, benefit, and benefit, and jointly promote the steady and long-term development of the Malaysia-China community of shared destiny.
