Sarawak Government and Japanese Company INPEX Discuss Cooperation Opportunities in Various Fields

(Kuching, 19th) Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari held a meeting with INPEX Corporation, Japan's largest oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) company, at a renowned hotel in Tokyo yesterday.

INPEX Corporation's President and CEO Takayuki Ueda, Senior Vice President of Asia Projects Akihiro Watanabe, and INPEX Malaysia's Representative and General Manager Tatsuya Konishi attended the meeting.

In addition, the meeting discussed cooperation opportunities in the fields of oil and gas exploration, renewable energy, and carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS).

According to records, INPEX Corporation is currently undertaking projects across continents to make its oil and gas business cleaner and to expand its five net-zero business areas.

INPEX Corporation is also committed to providing a diverse and clean energy supply, including oil, natural gas, hydrogen, ammonia, and renewable energy, as a pioneer in energy transition.
