Jointly organized by the Global Cultural Industry Group and the World Chinese Association, and undertaken by the Global Cultural Industry Investment Group and the Southeast Asia General Association of the World Chinese Association, the "50 Years of China-Malaysia Diplomatic Relations — Chinese Masters Calligraphy and Painting Art Exhibition" recently unfolded at the Art Center of EQ Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Dignitaries attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony included Dr. Datuk Seri Cheng Wanqi, Founding President of the World Chinese Association, He Zhao, President of the World Chinese Association, and Hao Jinling, Vice President of the World Chinese Association and Chairman of the Southeast Asia General Association, among others.
Just in time for the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia, the friendship between the two countries remains ever fresh, with cultural exchange activities emerging one after another. At this significant historical moment, Jieziyuan Calligraphy and Painting Academy, in collaboration with the World Chinese Association and the Southeast Asia General Association of the World Chinese Association, hosted this unique art exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, adding a bold and vibrant touch to China-Malaysia cultural exchanges.
Famous artists such as Wu Tao, Xiang Ping, Liao Tingjian, Zhang Chuandong, Yin Weiguo, Jiang Pei, Han Qingmao, Jiang Ye, and others specially went to Malaysia to participate in the opening ceremony and exhibition activities. This exhibition brings together the exquisite works of 35 well-known artists, covering a wide range of subjects including landscapes, flowers and birds, figures, calligraphy, and more. These works not only demonstrate the unique charm of traditional Chinese art but also incorporate modern aesthetic elements, achieving a perfect blend of tradition and innovation.
At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Hao Jinling stated that the friendship between China and Malaysia is long-standing, and cultural exchange has always been an important part of the relationship between the two countries. This art exhibition is not only a feast of art but also a vivid manifestation of the deep cultural integration between the two countries. “We hope that through this platform, more Malaysian friends will appreciate the unique charm and profound heritage of Chinese calligraphy and painting art, while also providing a valuable opportunity for Chinese artists to showcase their talents and exchange ideas.”
Liao Tingjian, Deputy Director of Jieziyuan Calligraphy and Painting Academy, delivered a passionate speech on behalf of the academy. They stated that the aim of this exhibition is to enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of China and Malaysia through the universal language of art, promoting the flourishing and development of cultural and artistic endeavors in both countries. Additionally, they hope that this exhibition will lead to a deeper understanding and love for traditional Chinese calligraphy and painting, fostering a collective effort to inherit and promote this valuable cultural heritage.
