Jisoo's Older Brother Accused of Domestic Violence: Hair-Pulling and Head-Banging; Wife Posts Injury Photos, Claims 'Forced to Be Filmed Naked and Swallow His Saliva'

South Korean girl group member's older brother, Kim (in his 30s), was accused of an attempted sexual assault, taking BJ A (a livestreamer) to his home in Gangnam and attempting to sexually assault her. He was arrested, and rumors swirled online that the suspect is BLACKPINK member Jisoo's brother, Kim Jung Hoon, although the reports did not state his name in full.

The police recommended a detention order to the prosecutor's office, but the Seoul Central Prosecutors' Office rejected it yesterday. Major Korean forums exposed allegations of domestic abuse against Kim Jung Hoon from his wife, posting three Word documents and photos of injuries as evidence. The wife accused Kim Jung Hoon of long-term physical assault and verbal abuse, saying she was forced to swallow his spit and have sex with him, continuing even when she had vaginitis and cystitis. The allegations sparked public outrage.

Korean forums such as theqoo, pann, and fmkorea today posted threads titled “Jisoo’s Older Brother’s Wife Exposes Domestic Violence,” detailing Kim Jung Hoon’s abusive behavior. The posts used a Word document format, starting with: “Violence, severe verbal abuse and insults, psychological abuse: Immediately after registering our marriage, he demanded I follow orders and obey absolutely. Not even two weeks after tying the knot, the beatings and severe verbal abuse began.”

Jisoo’s sister-in-law accused: “Whenever he started to abuse or curse at me, it would typically last for half a day. After every bout of violence, he would force me to have sex with him (once it was while I was naked, being filmed and forced to swallow his saliva. (He often forced me to swallow his saliva.)” She said that whenever she did not act as Kim Jung Hoon wished, she would inevitably get a severe beating: “My old phone (iPhone 15 pink) was beaten until it bent in half—he kept hitting my head with the phone,” “He used a barley tea pet bottle to waterboard me,” “He forced me to kneel naked, put my hands together and beg endlessly, and ordered me to keep repeating ‘I was wrong, I was wrong.’”

If she didn’t answer within three seconds, Kim Jung Hoon would torture her: “Three seconds have passed, as time goes by, only you will be in pain, right? Hehehe. For her own protection, Jisoo’s sister-in-law recorded the process of Kim Jung Hoon abusing her, but after he discovered it, she was again severely beaten. “I was almost waterboarded again, and only after I desperately begged did he force me to delete all the recordings.” Kim Jung Hoon behaved like a terrifying, unpredictable lover: “At 5:30 am, November 21, my husband came to my parents’ home to pick me up (at the time his license had been revoked); he got in my car and began threatening me. Kim Jung Hoon also threatened his wife: “He threatened me, saying that if I told anyone about the beatings, told family, or called the police, he would beat me to death. He even told me to just go die.” At the same time, he emotionally manipulated and guilt-tripped his wife: “He kept saying, ‘It’s because I love you, that’s why. Don’t you love me? Do you love me or not? You wouldn’t just abandon me, right? Sacrifice your life for me, I want to live with someone willing to die for me.’”
