(Australia, 21st) On the 21st, Australia held a National Day of Reflection to mourn the victims of the Sydney Bondi Beach shooting.

On this day, both the Australian federal government and the New South Wales state government buildings flew their flags at half-mast in tribute, and will hold an official moment of silence at 6:47 pm local time (3:47 pm Malaysia time).

Last weekend, a shooting targeting the Jewish community occurred at Sydney’s Bondi Beach, resulting in 15 deaths. The shooters were a father and son, suspected to have been influenced by the ‘Islamic State’ organization. The 50-year-old father was shot dead in a gunfight with police, while the 24-year-old son has been charged with 59 offenses.
