(Bandar Seri Begawan, 19th) Local eatery Nasi Ayam Asli and Barossa Sdn Bhd have teamed up for the second consecutive year to host a luncheon for about 60 underprivileged individuals, showing them care.
Among these 60 individuals are 32 students who are receiving assistance from the local non-profit organization La Vida Berhad. Nasi Ayam Asli not only prepared a sumptuous spread of local cuisine for them but also provided study supplies as gifts. Neighboring tile and bathroom expert Barossa Sdn Bhd also donated study supplies worth $50 to each attending student.
Co-owners of Nasi Ayam Asli, Goh Kheng Yih and Joshua Thien said: “Nasi Ayam Asli has been in operation for around two years, and we are honored to provide affordable local cuisine to the community.”
“As Bruneians, we are proud to give back to society through this platform, and we also want those less fortunate to know that they will never be forgotten.”
Before the lunch concluded, shopping vouchers worth $100, donated by the La Vida community, were distributed to the 32 students present.
