The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) reported on the 10th that, prior to talks with the United States, Iran stated that if an agreement acceptable to both Iran and the resistance forces could not be reached, and if war reignited, Iran would launch devastating attacks on Israeli and American interests in the Middle East.
The Khatam Al-Anbia Central Headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces also issued a statement saying that if the enemy continues to attack Lebanon, Iran will respond forcefully.
The statement pointed out that Iran will continue to maintain control over the Strait of Hormuz, and if the enemy persists in attacking Hezbollah and the people of Lebanon, Iran will respond forcefully.
The statement said that, given that the United States and Israel have repeatedly broken their promises, the Iranian armed forces will always keep their fingers on the trigger.
Ready to Respond
On the 11th, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf stated in Islamabad that Iran is sincere about negotiating with the United States, but does not trust the U.S. side, because previous negotiations have always ended in failure and betrayal.
He said that if the U.S. side tries to use this round of negotiations as a show, Iran is already prepared to defend its own rights.
He stated that within less than a year, Iran and the U.S. have held several rounds of negotiations. Although Iran has always been sincere, the U.S. launched attacks against Iran during the talks, repeatedly committing acts of war crimes.
He emphasized that in the upcoming negotiations, if the U.S. is truly willing to reach an agreement and respect the rights of the Iranian people, “they will also see our willingness to reach an agreement.” However, if the U.S. tries to use the negotiations as a fruitless show or an act of deception, Iran is already prepared to defend its own rights.
