On the 10th, US Vice President Vance expressed optimism that the talks with Iran in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, would be positive, but also warned Iran not to attempt to play games with the US side.
Speaking to the media at the airport before departing for Islamabad, he said the US side was full of anticipation for these talks and would strive to make them productive. US President Trump has already set out very clear guidelines for the US delegation.
Vance stated that if the Iranian side is willing to negotiate in good faith, then of course the US is also willing to extend an olive branch. But if they attempt to play games with us, then they will find that the US negotiating team will not accept it.
